School Introduction

AOI is a multi-purpose language institute with instruction aimed at teaching languages quickly and effectively. We focus on teaching our students to master Conversational English as well as preparing them to use and understand the correct American Idiomatic English for their specialized needs, such as in business or higher education. We also provide college counseling.

If your goal is to study Conversational English, English Grammar, learn to teach English as a second language (TESL/TEFL/TESOL) or to prepare for college or a university entrance examination (TOEFL), we are the one to provide you with the best instruction for your needs.

Our school is authorized to issue the I-20 Form to students intending to apply for a student visa (F-1).

ESL Program Introduction

Our ESL classes are designed to familiarize students with American culture by balancing life skills with college preparatory work. Basic communication skills are heavily emphasized throughout the length of this course.

ESL Biginner level student and it primarily focuses on grammar acquisition, vocabulary building, and listening comprehension. Introductory level conversations comprise the bulk of this classí discussions.

ESL Intermediate course develops the studentís increasing mastery of English communication skills by emphasizing common grammatical structure, vocabulary, conversation, and reading comprehension. Special emphasis is placed on higher-level discussions and appropriate use of language.

ESL Advanced course prepares the student for the challenge of advanced college-level reading, writing and conversation. However, not only do we improve our studentsí English level, but also their confidence in comprehending and speaking English. Controversial class discussions and comprehensive understanding of American slang and idioms comprise the meat and potatoes of this course.

iBT TOEFL Preparation course prepares students to take the TOEFL test, with an emphasis on preparing them to take the iBT TOEFL test. They will learn about the four parts of the iBT test: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They will learn what is expected of them on each part, and they will develop language skills in those four areas. Also, they will learn test-taking strategies to help them save time and get more answers right.
