School Introduction

The English Gallery is a newly formed, small ESL school which serves non-native speakers in the Athens, Clarke County, Georgia area. The school is designed to provide student-driven classes to meet a variety of needs. Class size is small allowing students to receive individual attention for language needs. The teachers are experienced with ESL needs, and most have traveled and worked overseas extensively. The English Gallery name comes from the idea that art is a special way to share language, and thus the gallery also provides a venue for local artists to display visual arts. The English Gallery is located in a vintage blue house near the campus of The University of Georgia, Piedmont College, and Gainesville College in beautiful Athens, Georgia.

ESL Program Introduction

The English Gallery is a place where a student can study English in a comfortable, secure, and family-type atmosphere. The faculty and staff connect with the student in a caring manner. The positive encouragement found here helps students to gain success in English quickly. We have General English classes for beginners, as well as Grammar/Writing classes for intermediate to advanced students. There are Essential and Extended Conversation classes which cover beginning to advanced students. Special classes such as Pronunciation, Business, and GRE/TOEFL Test Prep are also provided.
